The 7th grade will be studying American history this year from the BJU text The American Republic.

Along with readings from the textbook, students will also do worksheets for each chapter. Homework may also consist of section question and end of chapter reviews. This will be based on how well an individual student performs on quizzes and tests. If they can "get it" without the extra writing of questions/answers then I will excuse them from that. If not they will have homework almost every night.

The focus is not on memorizing names, dates, etc., although we do some of that, but on the larger picture. We do much with cause and effect. and the why of things.
